Screen Printing
Screen printing pushes ink through a fine mesh stencil directly onto the garment, one color at a time. It's over a century old, and for high-volume apparel it still hasn't been beaten on durability or cost per piece.
Minimum
12 pieces per design and per ink color combination.
Turnaround
10–14 business days after artwork and garment approval. Reorders of an existing design move faster since screens and separations are already prepped.
How it works
Each color in your design gets its own screen, burned from a film positive and registered on the press. Ink is flooded across the screen, pulled through onto the shirt, then flash-cured. Because setup is per-screen, a one-color print on 200 shirts is dramatically cheaper per unit than the same job on 12 shirts.
Why it lasts
A properly cured plastisol print bonds into the weave of the fabric and will typically outlive the garment. That's why work uniforms, athletic practice gear and anything that sees a commercial washer should be screen printed rather than transferred.
Color counts and pricing
Price is driven by two things: the number of shirts and the number of ink colors. Dropping a design from five colors to two often cuts the quote significantly with almost no loss of impact. We'll tell you honestly when a simplification is worth it.
Specialty inks
Beyond standard plastisol we can run soft-hand water-based inks that sink into the fabric, puff ink for a raised texture, metallic and glitter inks, and reflective ink for safety and night-visibility apparel.
PMS color matching
If your brand lives and dies by a specific Pantone, we mix to match. Send the PMS number with your artwork and we'll hold the color across every reorder.
