We've printed for enough rec leagues, travel teams and booster clubs to know exactly where team orders go sideways. It's almost always one of these.
1. Collect sizes before you collect money
A shared spreadsheet with name, size and quantity is worth more than any other prep step. Sizes change after the order is placed far more often than payment does, and reprinting three shirts costs more per piece than the original run.
2. Build backward from the deadline
If shirts are needed for a tournament on the 15th, we need the order confirmed roughly three weeks earlier for screen printing. Add a week if the design isn't finished yet. Tell us the hard date on day one and we'll tell you the latest we can start.
3. Send the best artwork file you have
Vector art (.ai, .eps, .svg) is ideal. A 300 dpi PNG works. A logo screenshotted off a Facebook page does not, and we'd rather rebuild it properly than print something blurry with your team's name on it.
4. Decide about names and numbers early
Individual names change the production path completely — every piece becomes unique. It's very doable with DTF or heat-applied vinyl, but it needs to be part of the quote from the beginning, not added after approval.
5. Order a few extras
Always add two or three pieces in common sizes. Someone will join late, someone will lose theirs, and a small reorder later costs multiples of what the extras cost now.
Work through those five and your team order becomes one of the easy ones. Call the shop at (774) 279-7271 and we'll walk through it with you.
